About EDF Workbench
Built for clearer waveform review.
EDF Workbench is a Windows desktop application developed and published by Krop System SRL in Romania. It provides a focused workspace for viewing and reviewing EDF/EDF+ and BDF/BDF+ recordings.
Why it exists
Keep useful review tools close to the recording
Interchange recordings can remain useful long after the acquisition software or hardware changes. EDF Workbench brings channel organization, navigation, measurements, annotations, frequency inspection, and export into one native Windows workspace.
The review workflow preserves the source recording. User-created annotations and presentation choices are stored separately.

Design principles
Practical, transparent, and waveform first
Native Windows experience
Use familiar desktop interaction and a dockable multi-document workspace.
Long-recording interaction
Keep time navigation and recording context available while reviewing signals.
Clear waveform presentation
Give signals visual priority and expose channel presentation controls.
Non-destructive review
Do not modify source recordings as part of viewing, measurement, or annotation work.
Practical measurement tools
Present point values, deltas, region statistics, and selected-region frequency content without inventing interpretation.
Transparent file handling
Document supported formats, separate sidecars, exports, release identity, and update behavior.

A product being validated in real workflows
The preview is used to validate installation, file compatibility, documentation, usability, and support needs. Published capabilities are tied to qualified releases; planned and research work is not presented as available functionality.
For waveform viewing, review, measurement, and research support. No diagnostic interpretation claim.
