# EDF Workbench 0.1.5

## Highlights

- Defines a clear lifecycle for the 2026 public preview without disabling the application after the preview period.

## Added

- Starting 1 January 2027, every launch shows an obsolete-preview notice before project recovery or file opening.
- The notice provides two choices: **OK** continues opening EDF Workbench and **Close** exits the application.

## Changed

- The occasional reminder shown during 2026 now explains that the preview remains usable after 31 December 2026.
- After the preview period, the obsolete-preview notice replaces the occasional reminder so users do not receive two
  startup dialogs.

## Fixed

- None.

## Known limitations

- Early preview installers may display a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen reputation warning even though they are
digitally signed by Krop System SRL.
- The preview-expiration check uses the computer's local calendar date and is an informational lifecycle notice, not a
  security or licensing restriction.

## Upgrade notes

- Existing settings and user-created data are preserved according to the installer policy.

## Verification

- Release build: the signed download-candidate pipeline is required before publication.
- Automated tests: 3,571 functional tests and 39 performance tests passed before version allocation; the release
pipeline reruns the complete suite and quick performance workload.
- Installer qualification: the retained installer must pass Authenticode, publisher, checksum, provenance and package
  validation before publication.
- Manual Windows checks: verify installation and upgrade from 0.1.4, publisher `Krop System SRL`, normal startup during
2026, and the documented obsolete-preview choices using a controlled post-2026 test environment.
